y County near Richland and purchased land from Vandalia Land Office.  He was probably born Mrch 17, 1833 and died November 1, 1898.  He was probably buried with his first wife and since Maria died after him, she is buried at Barth Cemetery with the Juenger family.

Cousin Edna Sickbert renovated her 1904 barn for a "Successful Farming" project in 2005 for which she received the "Barn Again" award.  The steps leading up to the haymow are wide and easy to climb, unlike to upright ladder for earlier access.  A neighbor stores hay and straw in one corner so guests know they are in a rural setting.  Weddings have been held here with outdoor receptions held in the massive yard next to the barn.
