Cousin Edna Sickbert renovated her 1904 barn for a "Successful Farming" project in 2005 for which she received the "Barn Again" award.  The steps leading up to the haymow are wide and easy to climb, unlike to upright ladder for earlier access.  A neighbor stores hay and straw in one corner so guests know they are in a rural setting.  Weddings have been held here with outdoor receptions held in the massive yard next to the barn.

My sisters and brother and our Aunt Lil visited with Edna at her Living Legacy Homestead on the 8th and 9th of October.  This is a picture of Edna in front of one of her buildings.

Family visits with George Wm. Juenger

Uncle Bill enjoyed visiting with his family.  His wife, Wanda, daughter, Linda, and later grandson, Dale Raney, were with him.  His brother, Raymond Juenger, and wife, Thelma, and children Terry, Darrell, Rae Ann, Betty, and Donna Juenger lived on a farm near Carmi. His sisters:  Minnie who was married to Clarence Schmidt and lived south of Mt. Carmel with their children Valeta, Dorothy, Edna, and Norman Schmidt; Nettie who was married to George Akers and lived in Central IL near Pontiac and Clifton with children Janet, Barbara (That is us on the blog.), Jeanne, and Kenny; and Lillian who was married to Steve Carney and had a son, Alan, and presently lives in Evansville, IN at the young age of 98!

Bill and Wanda lost two children, Ramona and Charles, in infancy.
