Lillian Florence Juenger Vailes

Lillian was born on Christmas Day 1914. She married Steve Carney Feb 1, 1920??. They had 2 sons, Larry born Nov 25, 1938 who died November 11, 1943 and Alan born September 25, 1940 who died March 27, 2002. Allan  married Karen Frost in 1964 and they had 3 children: David Alan born April 28, 1965 and Kimberly Ann born November 28, 1967 and xxxxx.  Lillian has outlived 3 husbands, Steve Carney, Luther Belt and Vailes. Even in her fragile state she is an avid gardener.

Alan's Obituary

Alan was a hard worker, a good hearted man who loved his family.  As a Mason, he volunteered to by driving burn victims to hospitals for treatment.

 

Thoughts about Lillian:  Very petite and to this day style conscious, loves people, wonderful cook and housekeeper, religious but not so religious it encroaches on other people, taught me how to use mascara, visited many times in youth with my parents, lived in the same house since she was first married.  I am sure others who know her have other thoughts to share and I encourage you to put them in the comment section.

Carrie Edna Juenger

Carrie was born June 10, 1918 and died October 20, 1935 of acute appendicitis. She was just 17 years old. Her mother, Lizzie, was so upset that she couldn't attend the funeral.  My Mother always said her Mom died of a broken heart after Carrie's untimely death.

Edna Schmidt Anderson..4th child of Clarence and Minnie Schmidt.  Edna restored the house and buildings on the family farm and after retiring spent many years running a bed and breakfast on the farm.

Nettie Juenger and George Akers Children UPDATED

Nettie and George Akers had 5 children, Joyce died at birth, Jan was born on July 23, 1941, Barb May 6, 1943, Jean November 9, 1944 and Ken March 9, 1947.  Jan lives with her husband Phil Bollheimer in Aviston, IL and is a retired teacher and retired state worker.  Barb lives with her husband in Geneseo, IL, and is retired from the federal government.  Jean lives with her husband in Remington, IN, and is retired.  Ken is retired from the State of IL and lives in Ashkum, IL. Check back in the next few days for pictures of their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.

Charles Raymond Jeunger and wife Thelma Sanders Juenger

Family History of Charles Raymond Juenger.  Raymond (as he was known) was born 6 June 1910.  He married Thelma Sanders 6 October 1932.  Raymond died 23? November 1972 and is buried in Garden of Memories west of Carmi, IL.

Raymond and Charles had 6 children.

Lillian Elizabeth (Betty) was born Jan 7, 1935.  She married Charles Duckworth.  Her children are Greg born 28 Dec 1959 and Deb born 3 dec 1962.

Donna was born March 3, 1940 and died in childbirth in January 1965. She was married to William Metcalf.  One child Darian who was adopted by the Metchalfs.  Donna was a polio victim.

Terry was born March 6, 1942 and lives North of Carmi.  He has 2 boys:  Terry Jr. born April 24, 1967 and Teddy born September 28, 1968.

Rae Ann was born January 20, 1945.  She married William Aud October 20,1964.  They have 2 children Tammy born December 22, 1963 and Sherry born June 11, 1968.

Darrel was born April 15, 1952.  He married Jackie Clark from Carmi.
They have a daughter, Heather, who was born Janurary 11, 1976.
Cathy married Gary Price of Enfield.

Nettie Elizabeth Juenger Akers was our Mom.  She was born December 17, 1907 and died March 5, 1981.  She married to George Akers in 1937. 

He died April 22, 1976.

 They had 5 children ....4 girls and one boy.  Joyce Ann Juenger was the first born and still born January 6, 1939 and is buried in Rooks Creek Cemetery in Pontiac, IL.

Janet Ruth Akers Bollheimer was born July 23, 1941 at St James Hospital in Pontiac, IL.  She married Phil Bollheimer in Decatur, IL in May 30, 1964.  They have one son, Eddie Bollheimer, and 5 grandchildren and one great grandaughter.

Barbara Marie Akers Miller was born May 6, 1943 at St. James Hospital in Pontiac, IL.  She married Richard Miller in Kankakee, IL on November 22, 1961.  They have 5 boys.....Richard II, Dennis, Douglas, Darian and Devin, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Helen Jean Akers May was born November 9, 1944 at St James Hospital in Pontiac, IL..  She married Mike May December 21, 1968 in Clifton, IL.  They have one daughter, Tracy, and one grandaughter.

Kenneth George Akers was born March 9, 1947 St James Hospital in Pontiac, IL.  He us unmarried and lives in Clifton, IL.

Wanda Armstrong Juenger, daughter Linda and Bill.  Linda was born May 24, 1947.  Linda has a son, Dale, who was born February 26,1971.
